We want to trust individual Mods globally for all users from a single point (eg Administrator). Right now the options seem to be
Trust the mod developer globally
Have users trust each mod themselves
Q: Is there a way to trust a mod globally for all users? Without involving the author?
Neither of the above options is a good solution. If the mod developer leaves and their account becomes disabled or removed, we believe that the mod will no longer be trusted. Bad. We do not want to have to have the users trust each and every mod they encounter, because they will not know if it should or should not be trusted, and we do not want to burden them with unnecessary complexity.
It does not seem that mods work the same way as scripts. they should.
We need to have Admin control over mod trust without involving an ephemeral username.
