Ability To Rename Multiple File Groups in Data Canvas

When we add individual data files to a dxp file, the name of the individual file is visible in the data canvas. That is helpful because it shows which data sets have been added. However, often it is faster to use "Files and data"->"Other"->"Multiple Files", so that we add several files at once. The problem is that now, those multiple files are shown as "Multiple Files" in the data canvas, and it becomes much more difficult to know which files were added. I realize that when you click on the file icon, it highlights the data in the table below the canvas, but that's not much help. It would be quite helpful if we had the ability to rename the different "Multiple Files" to something more meaningful to the user (ex: "BOM X All Temps" etc). As it is now, every time we add multiple files at once, they all have the same name in the data canvas.

Thank you for sharing this idea. I'm curious about one detail: you mentioned adding multiple files at once using "Files and data > Other > Multiple files", but that is not a menu option in standard Spotfire. Could you let me know which versio of Spotfire you are using or if you're perhaps using a Spotfire extension enabling such functionality? That information will help me understand the context of your request better. Thank you.
