Much better scheduling ability for users for Automation Merged

No ability exists for users to create a subscription to a report easily.

The process for each new automation is tedious to create automation job and schedule.

Report subscription should be allowed by users to create a subscription and execution data time for the Automation task

yes please - user ability to setup own automated 'subscription' to an analysis in the web player would be incredible for our clients!

Yup - like Dave Chandlers idea where a user can control own subscriptions to automated delivery of analyses/reports... that would be a hugely useful feature!  like Crystal Reports/SAP BW on steroids!

This is similar/same as https://spotfire.ideas.aha.io/ideas/SPF-I-849 - more detail here though I think on implementation

Yup nice one Dave - completely agree.  Users should be able to select within the analysis to subscribe to the report.

The option should be that they click web player icon - subscribe.  It pops up dialog to asking for email address, scheduled date time, start date, end data, frequency and format (pdf or jpg).  Where there are parameters for the user... they should specify those too OR click an option to print as-is based upon their current filters, etc (like a bookmark).

This would be brilliant and particularly good for all those who we need to spoon feed... they can do it themselves!

In the API - if we could access a users schedule report as an array/list... that would also be great as we built our own custom portal that wraps around spotfire and we would like a user to be able to enable/disable their list of subscribed reports.

You would also probably want to add it to the web player admin/diagnostics panel OR the Spotfire library admin console... so that an admin can enable/disable a users reports upon request.
