A table visualization is often used for comparing all table rows to a few special reference rows. It would be valuable if it was possible to ensure that the reference rows are always present in the table, preferably at top of the table, no matter how the filters are set. The rows should also remain fixed as you scroll down to see rows at the bottom of the table. As is, the problem is that the reference rows can be filtered out or hidden by scrolling, and then you cannot compare the remaining rows to the references.

@Niklas, yes, I think that something like frozen columns for rows would work. However, for frozen columns you specify the number of frozen columns. Rows are different in that you can sort and filter out, so if you specify two frozen rows, you want to make sure that these are the correct two rows. A problem with the suggested workaround is that if you scroll in the horizontal direction in one table, the other table doesn't follow. It also takes up additional space and it is a bit cumbersome to configure.
Mads, we do have frozen columns in the table, if the similar capability was available for rows would that work? I assume you have considered the workaround of using one table with the "reference rows" and one table just below it where the user scrolls and filters?
Yes, this would be useful. I'm thinking something like Freeze Panes in Excel. Maybe a simple approach would be to do the First Row and First Column but certainly being able to choose which section of rows and columns to freeze would be even more useful.
