Create links to items in Library

It would be nice to have "links" to items in the library. Just like links in a file system.

Use case: We want to regulate access to certain analysis files. Now these might be grouped by project and as permissions are folder-wide, a folder needs to be created for the project and all users working on the project have access. But sometimes, users who are not part of the project should be able to access a part of the analysis files. For this, you would have to create a "shared" folder which can become annoying especially is you have sub-projects and want to keep all analysis files in one folder. Copying of analysis files is a bad option because you have to keep them synchronised by hand.

However, if you could create a link, you would place the link to the analysis file in the project folder, the analysis file itself in the shared folder. So everyone from the project would still have all files in one folder, but other users could access analysis files in the shared folder.
