Hyperlink directly to Information Links/Column Objects directly from within Data Table or Column properties

You know what I have to do 50 times a day? 

 

  • Edit->Data Table Properties
  • Copy out the GUID of the information link
  • Close Data Table Properties
  • Open Information Designer
  • Search for id::xxxxxxx (GUID)

Why cant I just have a hyperlink in data table properties which takes me directly to the underlying information library object.

This applies for data tables driven from information links, but also to open up the underlying column object if I want to from Column Properties.

Please don't tell me I have been doing it wrong for 6 years ;-)
