We use lots of data tables in a report and sometimes have to add new ones etc. Not all of them are meant for users, but they all appear in the tag panel. Now the users have to use the tag panel to make certain inputs to the analysis. To make the tag panel more usable by the users, the tables to use should at least be the first ones or last ones to appear. However, this is coupled to the ordering of the tables as displayed in the data Table Properties dialog and that ordering cannot be adjusted. Also in data table selectors, the ordering is given by the data Table Properties dialog ordering, so also to adjust the ordering in the data table selectors it would be good to have this feature.
For those of us who work with lots of data sources and tables this would be a great feature to stay organized and save time.
Very importend and wanted feature! Having a lot of tables it will slow down your work extremly to find the desired table in this non configurable list in data canvas
I agree -- when developing with a lot of data tables (especially those built from other data tables), I often have to switch back and forth between tables in the canvas. It would be nice to have an option to rearrange these to make navigating between them more efficient, even if just alphabetical.
Hi Team, want to check when this feature will be implemented, looking for this feature from long time
I am well aware of the "Show in user Intefrace", but that does not work for the Tag Panel, at least not in SF 7.11.
If you just not want some data tables to show up in the Tags panel or in any other UI contexts either you might want to try to uncheck the "Show in user interface" checkbox in the "Data Table Properties" dialog for the selected data table. It is located at the bottom of the general tab.
This one would definitely improve my workflow!
I agree - it would be great to be able to order the data tables, at least in alphabetical order so it's easy to find them when the list starts to get long. I currently spend about 10 minutes a day scrolling through my list of tables trying to find the one I need.
