Background:
I can do this in graphical tables through the use of calculated values, but I can't do it in a cross table. What cross tables allow me to do is use a color rule for the cell background..What my customers have been asking for is the text color, because to them, it looks cleaner and doesn't draw too the attention away while I'm trying to highlight something. I've ended up trying to use a graphical table (not totally ideal) to show the same information just because it can use the text color
Who would benefit:
Dashboard authors who use cross tables would benefit from this
How the function should work:
The text color rules for a cross tables should work similar to how the cell background color rules work. In the same place you specify cell background rules, you can give an option to specify text color rules
Impact:
This is not stopping me from doing critical functions, but it would help me create a cleaner look in cross tables, and it seems like a quick enhancement since it's already being done with graphical tables
Implemented in | 7.11 |
It is possible to apply coloring to the text in the cross table from Spotfire 7.11. by selecting text in the apply coloring drop down on the coloring property page.
