This property is not currently exposed for use by python scripts. We have several use cases on our dashboards where we will toggle a visual between various reports using a python script (and it must be via python since we are doing things like changing the visual type). Not having API access to this property is unfortunate as when you change the visual type using python the label width resets to the default, which is usually too narrow.
