We have developed dashboards in TIBCO Spotfire by connecting to Salesforce and embedded the Dashboard Spotfire Web Client URL in Salesforce page. When user is trying to access the dashboards from the Salesforce page, it keeps prompting for Username and Password of the Salesforce. As the user is already logged in into the Salesforce, he/she is not looking to enter the credentials again for the Spotfire Dashboards.
We need to bypass salesforce login in Spotfire with SSO on webplayer
We are seeking a similar solution.
The comment from Neil Kanungo is more relevant for the merged ides - https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas/ALP-I-12. and not for this.
Our requirement is
After a user login to Salesforce portal, they should not be prompted to login to Spotfire, when they click on a Spotfire link (Web URL) on Salesforce portal. Basically, the valid logged in session token from Salesforce should be passed to Spotfire server for authentication (and maybe subsequent authorization).
The Salesforce connector was re-engineered in Spotfire 7.14 and now supports federated connections. Have you tried this in 7.14 or higher?
