Please add a way to say that you just want "all" Series to be rendered as bars or lines. I don't think that the default option works because I have mine set to "Line", yet when new (previously unseen) items are encountered, they are rendered as bars. This messes up the combo chart with a mixed bar-line rendering, which is confusing and impossible to manage.
When using a combination chart dynamically as a details visualization you inevitably run into new, previously unencountered items. I need to have a working control that allows me to say that I just want all items to be rendered as bars or lines, so I don't have mixed-primitive elements in my combo chart.

It is my experience that when a new value is encountered in the combo chart, it comes in as a bar, regardless of the Option setting (which I have set to line).
We are running 10.3.

Hi JP, I might have misunderstood but it seems to me the default series type for the combination chart is respected when new values come in. I tried in 10.7, see attached gif and tell me if I what I tested is representative of your issue?
That said, it would still be useful to have an "all" option, just want to make sure I understood your issue.
