A very powerful ability of Spotfire is to use multiple filtering schemes, since the same data needs to be looked at in various ways, each filtering the data in a different way.
In engineering applications with tall-skinny data, a disadvantage is that one cannot copy the setting for <filter_1> from <filtering_scheme_A> to the very same <filter_1> but from another filtering scheme.
In detail, such a copy functionality would be used on the DUT_ID filter. One would throw out all the faulty DUT_IDs using an adequate visual within one particular filtering scheme. If the analysis now requires multiple filtering schemes, the very same DUT_IDs would have to get filtered out again and again for each and every additional filtering scheme. The suggested copy functionality would significantly reduce the effort on this.
As an alternative, if one could define certain filters as <global> that would make things even easier. <global> is supposed to mean, that all filteres within that category are applied to all filtering schemes.
