Spotfire Ideas Portal
I have a few scripts that act on a specific type of visualization, for example to set map extents so that the maps don't lurch around in a presentation. To execute the scripts, Spotfire requires a text area on the page. This requires exporting the active visualization instead of the active page which results in a much less readable graphic in the presentation.
The addition of a title bar button to run a script would allow the user to conveniently execute the script while retaining the more readable export to PowerPoint format.

Sadly, it was not considered for implementation yet. I still think that having actions items (like executing scripts etc) outside of text areas would be very useful.
