certify AlmaLinux as supported OS for all Spotfire products

Please certify AlmaLinux as a supported OS for all Spotfire products, which is one of the most popular free alternatives to RHEL, preferably for 14.0LTS, which will be supported(hence introduced by many customers) for the next 3 years.


Current product system requirements(e.g. TERR service) already mentioned (ambiguously) it anyway.

The recommended Docker version, 19.03.13, was tested with AlmaLinux:8.7.

    Currently both TERR and Python container are using AlmaLinux as base image and it's not in the support OS list.

    If AlamLinux is not supported then it maybe more clear to replace both.

    Either Debian/Ubuntu or RHEL is possible choice for hosting Spotfire products, I don't have peference for either of them.

    it's just because TERR and Python cntainer are based on them so I am looking at any possiblity to support it for other products.

    Hi Wei,

    Unfortunately we cannot add features to already released versions.

    Besides that, we are using Debian for our container images in the Cloud Deployment Kit for Spotfire.

    And we plan to replace the base image of the TERR container, probably with Debian as well.

    Is there any reason why you would prefer AlmaLinux over other already supported distros like Debian or Ubuntu?
