Some users in our company are using Spotfire version N, others are using Spotfire N+1 (which has not been officially deployed yet).A version N+1 user made a change to a Spotfire file generated by a version N user. But he has no way to save the file in a way that it can be read by N users. The request is for an ability to Save As Spotfire N file from Spotfire N+1 or higher. This would generalize (the program) to always be able to save in the file format of one or more previous versions.
Implemented in | 7.11 |
As of Spotfire 7.11 it is possible to open a file saved with version N in version N-1.
We have the same issue, but we are a re-seller and develop content for customers at various version levels. In addition to the ability to save as a previous version, it would help to have a way to identify the version of the analysis (aside from naming convention).
