Provide better comparison & meaningful analysis of data, using subsets.

Enable to filter to relevant selection of data, even though you are working with subsets as "Marking" & "!Marking", to provide the user with the ability to look at a wanted segment in the same plot that uses the subsets.

The benefit for us in adding this functionality comes from the added flexibility of the product to answer the questions raised by the end users of the visualisation in a simple, intuitive and relevant manner.
The ability to define subsets through marking allows for the user to investigate the behaviour of specific segments of interest. A key part of this is often to compare that behaviour to the behaviour of related segments which were not selected. The primary purpose of the filters is to ensure that all records which are included in the visualisation are related, so that the end user is able to make meaningful comparisons and gain real insights. Without the ability to filter, the complete data is included in the visualisation by default, rendering comparison meaningless or hard to interpret, lowering the value of the product for the end user.

One big advantage of subsets in my opinion is that you can define subset with overlapping data and show this in one visualization. Sometimes it can be done with Over functions, but it is complicated and limited. Hoewever, without the option to filter properly I never really can't use this approach.

For me, the combination (logical and) of filtering schemes and custom expressions would be very useful. I want the custom expression subsets to react to the filtering I set, because usually use the filters to hide all the data I don't want to see at all.

I'd really like to be able to apply two conditions to a subset for a visualization. Currently in Properties ; Subsets, you can add a subset for marking, filtering or an expression. This becomes a problem when you want to see one in the context of another.
