At the moment, a Data Entry Admin (EDE Permission) is able to enter, delete data and edit already approved data (HEDIT). Customers want to be able to separate these two areas. Therefore, it would be needed to remove the hidden rights (DE, HEDIT) for EDE or introduce a new role without those permissions.
Hi Thomas,
thank you for the answer. I guess, you are referring to this new feature in Statistica 14.
New permission and role of Data Entry Auditor with Read-Only permission to
all Data Entry samples; ability to search for all Data Entry samples.
Unfortunately, this is not what the customer is asking for: A permission, where the user can create data entry setups but is unable to enter data (DE permission) or change historical data (HEDIT permission).
The new Data Auditor is unable to create or change data entry setups in Statistica Enterprise.
Please refer to Statistica 14.0 Release Notes, in the New Features -- Data Entry section:
"The new Data Entry Setup option for labels and characteristics to optionally display object description along with Name in Data Entry.".
The new permission was added in response to requests from multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing customers, for validated (GxP) support.
