It seems that there is a new protocol for the way that the sort order is displayed in a bar chart. It used to be that the order of the legend was opposite the order stacked in the bar chart (top image in screenshot). In the new version of Spotfire, the order of the legend runs the same as the order of the stack (bottom image in screenshot). In order to achieve a stack order in the bar chart of low on the bottom and high on the top, I had to reverse the sort order of the column so that High was first and Low was last. That creates a bar chart the way I would like, but means a cross table has High on the left and Low on the Right. This doesn't make intuitive sense for organizing data.
My ideas is that in the same way that we can toggle reverse scale in a bar chart for the data, we should be able to do reverse color stacking in the bar chart so that we can stack from bottom to top or from top to bottom as is appropriate for the data context.
Olga, many thanks for contributing and perhaps you already considered it but anyhow: there is an option "Reverse bar segment order" on right click on the bar chart and in the properties. Does this help?
