JDBC connection to AWS EMR

We want to allow jdbc connectivity from spotfire to the amazon EMR cluster which hosts different types of DB like Hive, Spark etc.

For this we need the data source template code & the corresponding JARs.

We need this to pull data from our EMR cluster.

    For ODBC connection

Yes, I was able to connect using Hortonworks option in data connectors, and was able to use username authentication method to connect to EMR. But it does not allow us to chose the type of DB like Hive, Spark, S3 in the connection window. We need that option too at our end.

    For JDBC connection

I deployed multiple JARs like HiveJDBC41 and other dependent JARs.

Created different kind of data source template, but for all such template it prompts username and password which is not the auth method set at EMR end.

EMR just allows username authentication for connecting to the cluster.

Also, we need separate data source template for each DB type(Hive,S3,Spark etc) which is being hosted inside EMR.

    Thanks,

    Pushkar

Would you be able to use Spotfire connectors? If not, what key features are missing in connectors that you find in Information Services? Would you be able to download the JDBC drivers, deploy them to a test Spotfire Server and see if you could reuse any of the existing templates listed here: https://community.tibco.com/wiki/tibco-spotfire-jdbc-data-access-connectivity-details
