When using bar chart with category axis it is typically important to be able to see the category labels to understand the visualization.
But if you have lots of categories, labels are not shown because of missing space to render. Then you typically use zoom slider to increase space until category labels are shown again.
This approach is cumbersome and even gets worth when you add or remove data using filters, because you have to manually re-adjust the zoom slider so that category labels are rendered again.
As a possible solution for this problem could be, to add a checkbox to the property dialog for Category Axis to "Automatically add zoom slider to show all labels".
Cross tables work differently and always show category labels nicely and add and auto-adjust scroll bar accordingly. I would like to get similar behavior for bar charts with category axis.
Please find attached some screenshots and also a movie to show differences compared to other tool. Tableau automatically creates a scroll bar compared to Spotfire where you have to work with zoom slider to get all category labels displayed.
