Sometimes the user needs only 4-5 columns in a dataset from a file or database containing hundreds of columns.
When importing into Spotfire, the Import Settings menu does not allow the user (in Spotfire X at least) to select all/ deselect all fields. In the above case, I would simply click on deselect all and then pick the columns of interest.
I know it is possible to exclude columns later on via transformations, but wouldn't it be simpler to load the right data from the start, without having to untick columns by dozens?
