To be able to access the last successful cache if the latest cache is failed for a report

When there are reports which are scheduled daily for caching and whenever a cache rule is failed, we see users facing issues while accessing that report as the data would be read from the source, which is a time consuming process. Instead we wanted to have something like whenever a cache rule for a report is failed, it should be able to read the data from it last successful cache so that we can override the step of reading the data from the source, so that the report can be accessed faster. I know there would be a data latency when the previous cached data is rendered but we are not worried about the older data in this case.

A support ticket is also raised for this, ticket number is 01471114.
