As an administrator of Spotfire I would like to enable error messages for Web Player end-users to be more informative or descriptive.
Example many times when the chain of permissions in library is not complete we get screenshots depicting an issue on opening a certain dxp in Web player with a non informative image saying the same. It would be very helpful to get a message that says what actual part caused the issue.
be it "not allowed prompting", "information link/sbdf/dataconnection cannot be opened", with Id and /or path to the same. File cannot be found in case of xlsx or other source from network path.
there is a way of setting the logging to show the full stack trace which is stated as possible security concern.
