Support network file:// URI with Spotfire Cloud version which is already a supported feature in stand alone Spotfire

The issue is that the default protocol handler for jpg and other image files can't be modified in cloud version since the admin manager selection under tools is missing.  I need to display images located on our network file storage system.  The case number for this issue is 01256065.  A summary description of the issue is listed below.  

I have built file://...jpg clickable links and I would like to launch a browser window and display the jpg images from Spotfire. The link Renderer Setting is: "http://file://{$}" for an image path string such as the following image string example. "//data/3500000242/ZSD3/10xwellscan/3500000242_Export-23_c2_ORGoutlines.jpg". The link sent to the browser is http://file////data/3500000242/.... I can see that the colon is being removed by Spotfire so it breaks the weblink. I can add it manually after "file" and the image displays correctly. How do I keep the colon or set the default protocol handler properly using Spotfire Cloud version?
