The categorical color palette has changed from 7.11 to 10.3, and a number of our users are not happy with it. There is no way to revert, so we'd love to have this palette to be configurable. There are newer color schemes out there in the world, and we'd like to easily incorporate them into Spotfire.
Spotfire allows "classic" colors to be used, but that applies to pre-6.5, so it sees like 7.11 has been left out. TIBCO should add the 7.11 color scheme back in and make it selectable in color dialogs. Should also make color schemes editable, particularly the default categorical color scheme.
It would be convenient administratively to set alternative default color schemes as a Administration Manager visualization preference.
JP, many thanks for providing your feedback. As a workaround, Spotfire allows exporting and importing color schemes from files and library locations.

It also allows specifying a default color scheme:

I have attached the 7.11 categorical colorscheme definition to this post if it helps.
